Section 463.3 - Educational services

Upon oral or written request, educational services shall be given promptly, within 30 days of request, individually or in groups, to eligible persons by services staff members or other qualified individuals employed or otherwise available for this purpose. They may be provided directly or by referral to a licensed family-planning center or clinic.

(a) Educational services means educational information about and discussion of the family-planning services program. Such services do not include medically related counseling.

(b) Educational services may be purchased by a social services district from a licensed family-planning center or clinic.

(c) Educational services shall be supplemented by the distribution and display of leaflets, pamphlets, notices, form letters, poster-type announcements, placards or other effective means of disseminating information generally about family-planning services to eligible persons. These must comply with the requirements of the program.
