(a) The validation unit of the local district will verify:
(1)
that each participant is at least 60 years of age, or the spouse of a person
who is at least 60 years of age; and
(2) that the participant is currently in
receipt of SSI, Home Relief, or Medical Assistance; and/or that level of income
of the participant is below 90 percent of the then in effect State median
income adjusted for family size. Verification of level of income is by the
declaration method.
(b) The validation unit of the local district will then determine the percentage of participants whose income is below 90 percent of median income adjusted for family size and the ratio of categorical to noncategorical recipients.
(c) A summary report and a comprehensive center specific report as prescribed by the department on the validation process and findings shall be submitted to the department within 15 days of completion of process.
