Section 459.1 - Responsibilities of social services officials

(a) A social services official shall, to the extent that funds have been made available therefor, provide senior citizen center services for senior citizens either directly or by purchase from:

(1) a private nonprofit corporation, company or association; or

(2) a city or town or other government agency within such social services district.

(b) The social services official shall have continuing basic responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of services purchased from senior citizen centers.

(c) Any purchase of service agreement for social group services for senior citizens should be in conformity with the requirements of purchase of services by social services districts, as prescribed by Part 405 of this Title.
