Section 458.4 - Supervision of, and services provided to, residents in family-type homes for adults

Current through Register Vol. 46, No. 39, September 25, 2024

Social services districts must assure that each resident of a family-type home for adults adjusts to his or her new living arrangements; receives proper care and supervision; is provided with reasonable opportunities for enjoyment of normal family and community life; receives assistance with personal problems and receives other necessary supportive services which are available from the district or other community agencies. In addition, social services districts must determine through periodic review whether a resident of a family-type home for adults is receiving the appropriate level of care and, where necessary, assess the need for and provide financial management services, such as acting as representative payee in those situations where such services may be needed and the family-type home operator is not willing to provide or capable of providing such services. Social services districts must also provide or arrange for casework counseling services, if needed, to assist residents with personal problems.
