Section 456.3 - Publicizing information and referral services

(a) Each local social services department shall publicize the availability of information and referral services to the community and to public and private agencies.

(b) In order to assure the widest possible dissemination of this information throughout the district, the following means, among others, shall be used:

(1) mass media (local television, radio, newspapers and magazines);

(2) pamphlets and flyers available in the headquarters of each social services department and in each local office thereof and distributed to the Social Security Administration, hospitals, nursing homes, intermediate care facilities, proprietary homes, and other appropriate community locations; and

(3) posters displayed in prominent locations.
