Section 435.7 - Training

(a) Individual providers approved pursuant to section 435.6 of this Part must receive training in the areas of child development, behavior management, communication, need for respite care and services and basic crisis intervention techniques.
(b) Approved respite care and services providers who care for children or foster children with AIDS, HIV infection or HIV related illness must have experience caring for such children or must receive training relating to the nature and history of AIDS, HIV infection and HIV-related illness, the needs of children who have AIDS, HIV infection or HIV-related illness, and procedures for the care of such children either prior to or at the same time as the provider cares for such children. This subdivision applies to all approved respite care and services providers as defined in section 435.2(b) of this Part, including staff of such providers where applicable.
