Section 432.5 - Obligations of persons required to report

(a) The commissioner of social services in each social services district is authorized to reimburse any person or official required to report cases of suspected child abuse or maltreatment for expenses incurred in the taking of or causing of photographs to be taken of the areas of trauma visible on a child who is the subject of a report, or, if medically indicated, for a radiological examination of a child.

(b) The commissioner of social services in each social services district shall insure that any photographs or X-ray results taken as a result of the report be sent to the child protective service at the time the written report is sent, or as soon thereafter as possible.
