Section 404.8 - Definitions

(a) The following definition of family must be used for all determinations and redeterminations of eligibility for services, other than child care services, under this Part:
(1)
Family
means one or more adults and children, if any, related by blood or law, and
residing in the same household. Where adults, other than spouses, reside
together, each shall be considered a separate family. Emancipated minors and
children living under the care of individuals not legally responsible for that
care shall be considered one-person families.
(2) In the above definition,
adult shall mean any person 18 years of age or
older.
(b) The definition of child care services unit set forth in section 415.1(l) of this Title must be used for all determinations and redeterminations of eligibility for child care services.
