Eligible persons are entitled to an SSPNA monthly benefit of $5 or $25 based on the person's place of residence on the first day of the month. An eligible person who is a resident of a residential health care facility as defined by section 2801 of the Public Health Law receives a $25 monthly benefit. An eligible resident of an intermediate care facility operated or issued an operating certificate by the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities or a patient of a hospital operated by the Office of Mental Health as defined in section 1.03 (10) of the Mental Hygiene Law receives a $5 monthly benefit.
