Section 386.5 - Training expenditures in excess of $5,000

Before a social services district may enter into a contract for training or incur a noncontractual training expenditure in excess of $5,000, the social services district shall submit the proposed contract, or in the absence of a contract, a written request to the department for review and approval. The department shall approve or disapprove the proposed training expenditure within 30 days of receipt of such contract or request, and shall notify the district in writing of the department's decision. If the training expenditure is disapproved, the written notice shall inform the district of the reasons for disapproval. The written approval of the department shall be a condition precident to receiving State reimbursement for the training expenditures.
