Part 924 - Reports Of Railroad Accidents
Section 924.0 - Introductory

(a) The rules and regulations for reporting accidents by railroad corporations in this Part are applicable to all railroad corporations, tourist railroads or persons operating standard gauge railroad passenger cars or freight cars modified to transport passengers for a fee throughout the State of New York. This Part does not apply to any system operated by the Niagara Frontier Transporation Authority, Metropolitan Transportation Authority or any affiliate or subsidiary thereof exercising any power granted under the Public Authorities Law section 1266. Nothing in this Part modifies any reporting requirements of the State Public Transportation Safety Board in Part 990 of this Title.

(b) Reports of accidents shall be provided by telephone accordiang to section 924.1 and by mail according to section 924.2 of this Part.
