Section 919.6 - Reimbursement for railroad and property owners

Modifications to private rail crossings will be considered a capital cost and the commissioner may provide for reimbursement of such costs to impacted railroad and/or property owners due to modification, alteration or closure of a private rail crossing within an intercity rail passenger service corridor. If the decision of the department is to not participate in such costs, the department must provide written reasons therefor to the railroad and property owners seeking reimbursement.
