Section 830.9 - Acceptance of credit cards by common carriers of property or household goods

(a) Common carriers of property or common carriers of household goods may provide in their tariffs for acceptance of credit cards for the payment of freight charges.

(b) Payment by credit card shall be considered the same as payment by cash, certified check or money order. Any tariff rule or item permitting the acceptance of credit cards shall identify the credit card plans participated in by the carrier.
