Section 7B.12 - School Crossing Assembly

DELETE Paragraphs 06 -- 08.

Guidance:

03A The School Crossing assembly should be installed at marked crosswalk(s) used by students going to and from school (see Figure 7B-4), as determined by an engineering study. The School Crossing assembly should not be installed at signalized intersections.

Standard:

03B The R1-6a and R1-6c signs shall not be used in New York State.

Standard:

05A If an In-Street Pedestrian Crossing sign or an In-Street Schoolchildren Crossing sign is placed in the roadway, the sign support shall comply with the mounting height and special mounting support requirements for In-Street Pedestrian Crossing (R1-6) signs (see Section 2B.12).

05B The In-Street Pedestrian Crossing sign, the In-Street Schoolchildren Crossing sign, and the Overhead Pedestrian Crossing sign shall not be used at signalized locations.
