04A Arrow boards shall meet the minimum size, legibility distance, number of elements, and other specifications shown in Figure 6F-6, except that arrow boards operated in the flashing caution mode shall only illuminate the upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right elements, or the alternating diamond pattern. The four-element bar pattern shown in Figure 6F-6 as an option shall not be used in New York.
