Section 79.21 - Identification of student pilots

Pilots holding a student pilot certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration shall at all times identify themselves as student pilots upon initial radio contact with the airport's air traffic control tower or when transmitting their intentions on the radio within the airport traffic area during periods when the airport air traffic control tower is closed.
