Section 35.1 - Authority

The authority for the New York State Department of Transportation to establish a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program is in the Surface Transportation Assistance Act of 1983, section 105(f); The Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation and Assistance Act of 1987, section 106(c); the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991; the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century; title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 26; New York Highway Law, section 85; and such other laws, rules, regulations and orders as may apply.
