Article 21-A provides a statutory fee of $75 for the issuance of a restricted license and also for the establishment of a schedule of fees to be paid by or on behalf of a participant in a driver rehabilitation program, which fee shall defray the ongoing expenses of the program.

(a) Statutory $75 license fee.

The statutory fee of $75 for the issuance of a restricted license must be paid to the Department of Motor Vehicles before a restricted license will be issued. The fee for the renewal of a restricted license will be the same fee which would be required for the renewal of the person's driver's license, and if such fee is paid, such fee will be made applicable to the driver's license which is issued to such person at the completion of the suspension period or upon approval of the issuance of a driver's license after the revocation period provided that the revokee has satisfactorily complied with all the requirements applicable to the issuance and use of the restricted license.
