Section 122.3 - Police agency procedures and reports

(a) Ticket supply.

(1) The police agencies in the jurisdictions in which a bureau exists shall secure and maintain a sufficient supply of tickets for distribution to all police officers empowered to issue tickets for violations occurring within each such jurisdiction.

(2) Each police agency shall maintain by serial number a record of tickets received.

(b) Distribution of tickets by police agencies.

(1) Each agency receiving tickets and the Division of State Police shall be responsible for the assignment of tickets to police officers under its command.

(2) Tickets shall be assigned to police officers in consecutive series order.

(c) Recordkeeping. Each police agency shall maintain a control record of all tickets assigned to police officers under its jurisdiction and a record of the disposition of all summonses and complaints, appearance tickets and notices of violation issued.
