Section 107.5 - Prepaid registrations

(a) A dealer who wishes to issue prepaid registrations must obtain prepaid registrations from the commissioner.

(b) A dealer must pay $25 in advance for each prepaid registration ordered.

(c) A dealer who has prepaid registrations must sell and issue a prepaid registration to the purchaser of a snowmobile from that dealer, at the time of sale, unless the purchaser signs a declaration of exemption from registration, as described in section 107.8 of this Part. This applies to both resident and nonresident purchasers.

(d) A dealer may sell a prepaid registration to a snowmobile owner from another jurisdiction for $25. When submitting a registration application for a nonresident, the dealer shall include an additional $10 fee, payable to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
