Section 91.22 - Electronic reporting of dispositions and scofflaws

(a) In lieu of reporting dispositions to the commissioner, as provided in section 91.19 of this Part, the commissioner may authorize courts to transfer dispositions electronically. In addition, the commissioner may authorize the transfer of scofflaw reports to the commissioner electronically. A scofflaw report is a report prepared by a court that informs the commissioner of motorists who have failed to appear to answer a traffic summons, or if after answering such summons, have failed to pay a fine or surcharge.

(b) Authorization to transfer dispositions and scofflaw reports electronically shall not preclude any court from transferring such dispositions and reports using paper dispositions and reports.
