Section 53.9 - Changes in approval requirements

Current through Register Vol. 46, No. 12, March 20, 2024

The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles at his discretion reserves the right to alter or change the requirements or specifications or to require additional or supplementary tests at any time. The commissioner further reserves the right to require the manufacturer to furnish without charge a reasonable number of samples selected by the commissioner from manufacturer's, distributor's or retailer's stocks for verification of test reports. The cost of verification tests shall be borne by the manufacturer. If any such report discloses any unapprovable deviation from the standards on which the approval was based, the commissioner may, upon due notice to the manufacturer, revoke the approval.
