Section 35.5 - Unsatisfied judgment

Where a certified copy of a judgment is received by the department with an affirmation that it remains unsatisfied in accordance with section 332 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, a suspension of all registrations and the driver's license and/or driving privilege of the judgment debtor shall be issued. Upon receipt by the department of satisfactory documentation that such judgment has been satisfied, stayed, vacated, reversed, or that the court in which the judgement was rendered has permitted payments in installments, the suspension shall be terminated, and a notice of restoration shall be issued. If a notice of default in installment payments is received, the suspension order shall be reinstated.
