Chapter I - REGULATIONS OF THE COMMISSIONER
Subchapter C - INSURANCE
Part 31 - Insurance Certificate
Section 31.4 - Notice of termination

Current through Register Vol. 46, No. 12, March 20, 2024

Upon the termination of any policy of liability insurance, in addition to any notice required to be given to the motorist, the insurer must submit to the commissioner a notice of termination of insurance in a form prescribed by the commissioner. Such notice must not be filed with the commissioner prior to the effective date of termination, but should be filed within 30 days thereafter. Such notice shall not be sent to the commissioner if the insurer receives a notice from the commissioner that such insurance has been superseded by another insurance contract which took effect at or prior to the time at which the termination became effective, or where the insured has surrendered his registration certificate and number plates to the commissioner and has delivered to the insurer a copy of the notice indicating surrender at or prior to the time at which the termination becomes effective.
