Title 15 - Department of Motor Vehicles
Chapter I - REGULATIONS OF THE COMMISSIONER
Subchapter B - Registration, Certificate of Title, and Number Plates
Part 30 - Fleet Registrations
Section 30.10 - Audits

Current through Register Vol. 46, No. 12, March 20, 2024

Registrants with fleet registered vehicles shall retain their records for six years and shall make their records and/or vehicles currently registered available for audit during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, except official holidays. If, after audit, it is found that the registrant has misused the permanent indicia of registration or failed to maintain required records on fleet vehicles or failed to renew permanent fleet registration vehicles on which plates have not been surrendered on greater than 10 percent of the permanent registered fleet, an appropriate warning letter shall be sent after the first year to the registrant. If such findings are found in a second consecutive year or second consecutive audit, the registrant may be removed from the fleet registration program. Such registrant may then apply for regular registrations for its vehicles.
