Section 7.1 - Introduction

Section 502 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law permits the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to require proof of satisfactory completion of not less than four hours and not more than five hours of classroom driver training and highway safety instruction, or the equivalent thereof, prior to the issuance of a license.
