Section 1.3 - Operation to and from school

(a) Operation to and from school shall include driving unaccompanied to and from school as defined in section 1.1(b) of this Part provided that such licensee possesses the required documentation of such school attendance signed by such person's instructor. The documentation shall include a letter signed by the instructor containing the date of the letter, the licensee's name, date of birth, motorist identification number, the dates and time of the instruction, education or training and the name, address and phone number of such instructor for verification by a police officer or magistrate.

(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision (a) of this section, documentation requirements shall not be applicable if such licensee could otherwise operate a motor vehicle at any time or place without restriction.
