Part 577 - Rates Of Reimbursement-hospitals Licensed By The Office Of Mental Health
Section 577.1 - Background and intent

(a) The purpose of this Part is to establish standards and methods for determining rates of payment made by government agencies pursuant to title 11 of article 5 of the Social Services Law for services provided by hospitals licensed by the Office of Mental Health, other than hospitals licensed pursuant to article 28 of the Public Health Law and issued an operating certificate in accordance with Part 580 of this Title, residential treatment facilities for children and youth issued an operating certificate in accordance with Part 584 of this Title and hospitals within the Office of Mental Health.

(b) The rates of payment determined under the standards and methods established by this Part are intended to be reasonable and adequate to meet the costs which must be incurred by efficiently and economically operated hospitals in order to provide care and services in conformity with applicable State and Federal law, regulations and quality and safety standards.
