Section 541.5 - Administrative privileges

(a) Administrative privileges allowing a defendant to leave the buildings to which he or she is restricted but not the facility, while under the constant supervision of one or more facility employees, may be granted by the clinical director, after consultation with the hospital forensics committee as required by section 541.9 of this Part.

(b) Unescorted administrative privileges allowing a defendant to leave the buildings to which he or she is restricted but not the facility without the constant supervision of one or more facility employees, may be granted by the clinical director after consultation with the hospital forensics committee.

(c) Administrative privileges authorizing a defendant to leave the confines of the facility for the purpose of receiving medical care, appearing in court or attending the funeral of an immediate family member, while under the constant supervision of one or more employees of the facility, may be granted by the Director of Forensic Services upon the recommendation of the clinical director. Such authorization may be obtained by telephone and does not require prior discussion by the hospital forensics committee.
