Section 541.3 - Hospital forensics committee

Each office facility shall establish one or more hospital forensics committees. Each committee shall consist of three persons appointed by the clinical director. Each member shall be a clinician licensed in New York State to practice medicine, psychology or social work. At least one member of the committee shall be a board-certified psychiatrist. At the request of the treatment team prior to the expiration of an order of commitment, recommitment or retention, the committee shall interview the defendant, review all clinical records and submit findings and recommendations to the clinical director, in accordance with the procedures described in section 541.9 of this Part.
