Section 25.2 - Patients involved in work activities

(a) No patient shall be required to perform any tasks involved in training, work training or work, except in relation to his or her personal care and possessions. Each patient shall be given written notice and oral explanation as necessary that he or she may not be required to work if he or she chooses not to. Patients may agree voluntarily to engage in work in the facility only as provided in this Part.

(b) Any patient who engages in training involving work, work training, or work in a facility shall be informed, orally and in writing, of his/her rate of pay, pay period, the methods of determining total pay, deductions from total pay and reasons therefor.
