Section 18.6 - Applicability of mental hygiene law

The admission and retention of the prisoner in a hospital shall be subject to the provisions of articles 29 and 31 of the Mental Hygiene Law, including, but not limited to, the confirmation of need for admission, notice, hearing, review and judicial approval of continued retention and notice to and access to the Mental Health Information Service.
