Section 701.10 - Adjournment of hearing

(a) A hearing officer may adjourn a proceeding upon a showing of good cause and upon a request made to the hearing officer at least fourteen days prior to the scheduled date of the hearing. In such event, the hearing officer shall explain to the parties the reason for such adjournment. No case shall be delayed unreasonably.

(b) Such request shall be in writing and set forth the reasons therefor, and the position of the other party or parties and offer alternative hearing dates.
