Section 351.5 - Method of computing binaural percentage of loss of hearing

In computing the percentage of hearing impairment, the binaural method of evaluation should be used. The percentage of impairment in the better ear should be multiplied by five. The resulting figure is added to the percentage of impairment in the poorer ear and the result divided by six. The final percentage represents the binaural evaluation of hearing impairment.
