Section 187.5 - Approval of safety program

(a) On the basis of the reports from the Division of Industrial Safety Service and the State Education Department, the application of the organization, and other information available, the commissioner shall issue a certificate of approval or deny the application.

(b) A certificate of approval shall terminate two years after the date of its issuance, unless earlier revoked as provided in subdivision (c) of this section.

(c) For good cause shown the commissioner may revoke a certificate of approval after a hearing.

(d) The commissioner or his authorized representative shall have the right to enter the shop where safety instruction is conducted and inspect all pertinent conditions, structures, machines, apparatus, devices, equipment and materials therein, and to question the officers of the organization, teachers or minors for the purpose of determining compliance with subdivision (b) of section 187.6 of this Part.
