Section 14-1.19 - Unfired pressure vessels

(a) All unfired pressure vessels purchased and installed on or after the first date of final promulgation of this section shall be constructed and stamped in accordance with section VIII of the ASME Code and registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.

(b) Compressed air tanks intended for use in conjunction with reciprocating air compressors shall not have the motor and compressor unit mounted on the vessel unless the unit is designed in accordance with paragraph UG-22 of section VIII, division 1 of the ASME Code.
