Every domestic life insurer shall provide a notice on form NA (see Appendix 22, infra) to the superintendent within 30 days of first engaging directly in any of the businesses authorized by section 1714 (a)(i) of the Insurance Law, provided that no such notice shall be required with respect to any such business in which the domestic life insurance company had been engaged in during the year immediately preceding the effective date of this Subpart.
