Section 455.28 - Podiatry

This functional reporting center must contain all the expenses associated with the provision of specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in treatment of a patient by a podiatrist and/or podiatry staff. Additional activities include but are not limited to the following: examination of patients; consulting with patients and attending physicians.

(a) Standard unit of measure: number of visits. A visit is defined as medical attention provided by the podiatry department regardless of whether the patient visits the podiatry department or is visited in his room by the podiatrist and/or podiatry staff.

(b) Data source. The number of visits shall be an actual count maintained by the podiatry department.
