Section 8.370.20.55 - QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTORS OF CENTERS

A. The adult day care center shall have a full-time program director.
B. The program director shall have the authority and responsibility for the management of activities and direction of staff to insure that activities and services are provided appropriately and in accordance with established policies.
C. The program director shall meet all of the minimum qualifications and personal characteristics stated below.
(1) 18 years of age or older;
(2) shall have completed at least a
baccalaureate degree from a nationally accredited institution of education in
the field of geriatrics, or a health related course of study which includes the
care of the elderly, or be a registered nurse;
(3) shall have a minimum of two years
experience and training in services to elderly or handicapped adults;
(4) shall have demonstrated ability in
supervision and administration.
D. Meet the requirements of Section 53.
