A. Electrical cords and extension cords:
(1) Electrical cords and
extension cords must be U/L approved.
(2) Electrical cords and extension cords must
be replaced as soon as they show wear.
(3) Under no circumstances shall extension
cords be used as a general wiring method.
(4) Extension cords must be plugged into an
electrical receptacle within the room where used and must not be connected in
one room and extended to some other room.
(5) Extension cords must not be used in
series.
B. Electrical receptacles:
(1)
Duplex-grounded type electrical receptacles (convenience outlets) must be
installed in all areas in sufficient quantities for tasks to be performed as
needed. Each examination must have access to a minimum of two duplex
receptacles.
(2) The use of
multiple sockets (gang plugs) in electrical receptacles is strictly
prohibited.
