Section 7.31.2.16 - CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

A. EXISTING OWNERS: Authorization of a vendor location shall terminate automatically upon a change of ownership. Vendor location authorization is non-assignable and non-transferrable. Vendors shall immediately report a change of ownership or of location to the State WIC Office. All food instruments accepted prior to the change shall be deposited in the vendor's bank immediately, and WIC business shall cease until an application has been submitted by the new owner and approved by the State WIC Office. The vendor shall return the vendor stamp to the State WIC Office immediately.

B. NEW OWNERS: A new owner shall have 30 days from the date of transfer of ownership in which to apply for authorization to continue an authorization held by a previous owner. New owners who fail to apply within 30 days may apply during the next new vendor application period.
