Section 20.5.106.601 - PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR FIBERGLASS-REINFORCED PLASTIC USTS

If a UST is constructed of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, owners and operators shall comply with the requirements of the current edition of an industry standard or code of practice developed by a nationally recognized association or independent testing laboratory approved in advance by the department. Owners and operators shall use one or more of the following to comply with the requirements of this section:

A. Underwriters Laboratories Standard 1316, "Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Underground Storage Tanks for Petroleum Products, Alcohols, and Alcohol-Gasoline Mixtures"; or

B. Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada Standard 615, "Standard for Fibre Reinforced Plastic Underground Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids".
