Section 9A:9-4.4 - Award amounts

(a) Garden State Scholars shall receive annual awards of up to $ 500.00 without regard to financial need based upon their academic performance as determined pursuant to 9A:9-4.2(h) . If sufficient funds are available, the award may be increased up to an additional $ 500.00 based upon the student's New Jersey Eligibility Index (NJEI) pursuant to 9A:9-3.1 and 3.2 according to the following table:

(b) Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars and Urban Scholars shall receive annual awards of up to $ 1,000 without regard to financial need based upon their academic performance as determined pursuant to 9A:9-4.2(c) , (d), and (e). If sufficient funds are available, the award may be increased up to an additional $ 1,000 based upon the student's New Jersey Eligibility Index (NJEI) pursuant to 9A:9-3.1 and 3.2 according to the following table:

(c) Undergraduate scholarship award amounts shall be a minimum of $ 200.00.

(d) These scholarships in combination with other financial aid shall not exceed the cost of attendance as determined by the institution.
