Section 9A:9-4.3 - Eligibility requirements

(a) Garden State Scholarship recipients shall attend an eligible New Jersey institution of higher education as defined in 9A:9-2.1(b) through (d).

(b) Scholarship awards shall be renewable for up to three or four years of undergraduate programs of study regularly requiring four or five academic years respectively for completion. In order to be eligible for a renewal award the student shall continue to achieve satisfactory academic progress pursuant to 9A:9-2.1 0 and demonstrate continued financial need, if applicable.

(c) Garden State Scholarship recipients who transfer to another eligible New Jersey institution may transfer their awards provided they have demonstrated satisfactory academic progress and have notified the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority in writing in accordance with applicable procedures.

(d) Students may not simultaneously hold an Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars award and an Urban Scholars award and/or a Garden State Scholars award.
