Section 9A:9-3.2 - Full-time Tuition Aid Grant Award Table

(a) Prior to each academic year, the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority shall adopt a Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) Award Table, which shall indicate TAG award values that students attending various institutions of higher education on a full-time basis shall be entitled to receive based upon their financial need.

1. The Table shall include an annual minimum grant for all institutional sectors.

(b) The value of the grant shall be related to the tuition charges of the various institutional sectors in New Jersey and the student's ability to pay for educational costs.

(c) Subsequent to approval of a final full-time TAG Award Table by the Authority, pursuant to 18A:71B-21, the final TAG Award Table shall be provided to all New Jersey institutions of higher education that enroll students receiving TAG awards and to all individuals whose TAG award values have changed for the upcoming academic year. The Authority shall also provide a copy of the final full-time TAG Award Table to any other individual or entity requesting the table.

(d) The value of the student's grant may change dependent upon appropriated funds, the student's actual tuition charges, cost of attendance and other available resources. The student will be notified of any change in his or her grant.
