Section 8:21-3.7 - Animal repellants

(a) The list of animal repellants which are non-injurious to canines or other animals and which immobilize only temporarily and produce only temporary physical discomfort covered by the exemptions pursuant to the provisions of 2C:39-6(h) shall include, but not be limited to, the following trade products:

1. Dog Chaser;

2. Guardian;

3. Halt;

4. Sentinel;

5. Stinger;

6. Stop Dog.

(b) The following list of active and inactive ingredients can be used in animal repellants that are non-injurious to canines or other animals and immobilize only temporarily and produce only temporary physical discomfort covered by the exemptions pursuant to the provisions of 2C:39-6(h).

1. Active ingredient:
i. Oleoresin Capsicum.

2. Inactive ingredient:
i. Mineral Oil;

ii. Nitrogen Propellant.

(c) The Department shall add to or delete from the above list those active and inactive ingredients and products to be consistent with the provisions of the Act.
