Section 8:13-2.6 - Final certificate requirements

(a) Considering the extremes of environmental conditions and physiological status of bivalves an acceptable process verification study shall be conducted during periods when extreme conditions are known to occur. Only after this additional process verification study is completed indicating that all critical activities have been met, including meeting the bacteriological standards set forth under 8:13-2.21, will final certification be considered by the Department.

(b) Final certification will be issued based upon a record of satisfactory compliance with the HACCP Plan and scheduled depuration process which is incorporated in the Depuration Plant Operations Manual and the requirements of (a) above.

(c) The certificate shall expire on June 30 of each year. Certificate renewal is required each year on forms supplied by the Department.

(d) Shellfish certification and food/cosmetic license are not transferable with respect to changes in location and/or ownership.
