Section 7:26-2C.8 - Reduction of green house gas emissions

(a) If not already in place, applicants shall commit to the implementation of a methane recovery system consisting of turbines, microturbines, and/or fuel cells, or implementation of pollution prevention measures to reduce methane emissions to levels consistent with a recovery system.

(b) If controls are currently in place, applicants shall commit to an upgrade of the existing methane recovery system to state-of-the-art (SOTA) standards as set forth in 7:27-8.12 or implementation of pollution prevention measures including upgrades to equipment that produce cleaner emissions (that is, replace diesel generators with microturbines or fuel cells) to reduce methane emissions consistent with SOTA.
