Section 7:15-2.8 - Alternative assignment of wastewater management planning responsibility

(a) WMP responsibility may be reassigned from a county board of chosen freeholders to a municipality, if the municipality requests such responsibility. Requests for municipal WMP responsibility shall be made by the municipality as part of an application for a revision to an areawide plan or plans under 7:15-3.4 and shall include a proposed schedule for submission of the WMP.

(b) If an alternative assignment of WMP responsibility is granted to the municipality, the municipality shall have WMP responsibility for its entire municipality.
