CHAPTER
HISTORICAL NOTE:
Chapter 9C, Professional Development for Teaching
Staff Members and School Leaders, was recodified from Subchapter 15, Required
Professional Development for Teachers and School Leaders, of Chapter 9, Professional
Licensure and Standards, by administrative change effective August 4, 2014. As part
of the recodification, attendant technical changes were made to the rule text
concerning cross-references and the applicability of current chapter definitions.

In accordance with
N.J.S.A.
52:14B-5.1b, Chapter 9C, Professional Development
for Teaching Staff Members and School Leaders, was scheduled to expire on December
10, 2015. See: 43 N.J.R. 1203(a).
Chapter 9C, Professional Development
for Teaching Staff Members and School Leaders, was readopted as R.2015 d.197,
effective November 12, 2015. As a part of R.2015 d.197, the chapter was renamed
Professional Development; Subchapter 1, Scope and Purpose, Subchapter 4,
District-Level, School-Level, and Individual Professional Development Requirements,
and Subchapter 5, District Mentoring Program, were adopted as new rules; and
Subchapter 3, Required Professional Development for Teachers and School Leaders, was
renamed Professional Development Components and Standards for Professional Learning,
effective December 7, 2015. See: 47 N.J.R. 1802(a), 47 N.J.R.
3021(a).
Chapter 9C, Professional Development, was readopted as R.2023
d.062, effective 4/6/2023.
